Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin possesses a wide spectrum of antibacterial and antimycoplasmal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including E. coli, Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp., and Mycoplasma spp. Bacteria resistance to ENROFLON® ORAL SOLUTION develops relatively slowly, as the mechanism of antimicrobial action of enrofloxacin based on the inhibition of the activity of gyrase ferment affecting the DNA replication in the core of the bacterial cell.

Indications

• Treatment of colisepticaemia, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, bronchopneumonia, enteritis and other diseases in calves, lambs, pigs and poultry caused by microorganisms sensitive to fluorquinolones.

• Treatment of atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pneumonia and the MMA syndrome in sows. Dosage ENROFLON® ORAL SOLUTION is administered by oral route once a day with drinking water or feed at the following dosage:
