Pharmacological properties

Gentamicin is an antibiotic of aminoglycoside group with a wide range of antimicrobial activity against the majority of gram-positive and some gram-negative bacteria, including Proteus spp., Escherichia spp., Salmonella spp. and Staphylococcus spp. The antibiotic does not act against anaerobic bacteria, fungi, viruses and protozoa. Mechanism of action: violation of protein synthesis in bacterial cell.

Indications

• Treatment of respiratory and gastrointestinal diseases, sepsis, peritonitis, meningitis, pyelonephritis and other animal diseases, caused by gentamicin-sensitive microorganisms.

Dosage

The drug is administered twice a day with an interval of 10-12 hours as follows:
