PULMOKIT®

1 g contains: 30 mg of kitasamycin tartrate, 45 mg of trimetoprim, 160 g of sulfadiazine, 50 mg of paracetamol, 25 mg of vitamin C and 4000 IU of vitamin A

Pharmacological properties

Kitasamycin has bacteriostatic action against gram-positive – Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp. (including penicillinase producents), Clostridium spp., Bacillus anthracis, Corynebacterium diphtheriae, Listeria monocytogenes and some gram-negative microorganisms – Gonococcus spp., Haemophillus spp., Brucella spp., Legionella pneumophila, and also Mycoplasma spp., Chlamydiae spp., Rickettsia spp., and Spirochaeta spp. Mechanism of action: reversible contact with catalytic peptidyl transferase center of 50S ribosomal subunit and cause cleavage of the peptidyl tRNA complex. Sulfadiazine has bacteriostatic action against: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Neisseria meningitis, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Brucella spp., Proteus spp., large viruses, coccidia, toxoplasmas and actinomycetes. Mechanism of action: inhibition of synthesis of functional folic acid. Trimetoprim is active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp., Pasteurella spp., Shigella spp., Corynebacterium spp., Klebsiella spp. Mechanism of action: blocking of dihydrofolate reductase, which is activate folic acid. Paracetamol has an analgesic and antipyretic action, which due to inhibition of synthesis of prostaglandins. Vitamin A boosts processes of regeneration of mucous membranes, vitamin C has anti-stress action and increases organism resistance.

Indications

Treatment and prevention of respiratory diseases of bacterial etiology, colibacteriosis, salmonellosis, pasteurellosis, haemophillosis and mycoplasmosis in calves, pigs and poultry.

Dosage

PULMOKIT® is administered with drinking water, milk or in combination with feed in the following dosage:

- poultry: 1-2 kg per 1000 L of water or 1 ton of feed for 3-5 days;

- pigs: 1-2 kg per 1000 L of water or 1 ton of feed for 5 days;

- calves: 2-3 g per 10 kg of bw for 5-7 days
