SPELINC® 660

100 g contains 22 g of lincomycin hydrochloride and 44 g of spectinomycin hydrochloride

Pharmacological properties

Spectinomycin has a bacteriostatic action against a number of gramnegative bacteria, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp. Mechanism of action of spectinomycin is inhibition of protein synthesis at ribosomal level, due to binding of the 30S-ribosomal subunit. Lincomycin hydrochloride has bacteriostatic action against grampositive microorganisms, mainly: Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp. (including penicillinase producing), Corynebacterium spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp. and Mycoplasma spp. Mechanism of action of lincomycin in inhibition of protein synthesis at ribosomal level, due to binding of the 50S-ribosomal subunit. The combination of lincomycin and spectinomycin in SPELINC®660 possesses synergistic activity against several gram-positive and gramnegative microorganisms, including Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Bordetella spp., Serpulina hyodisenteriae and Mycoplasma spp.

Indications

• Treatment and prevention of colibacillosis, salmonellosis and dysentery in pigs and colibacillosis, salmonellosis and mycoplasmosis in poultry.

Dosage

SPELINC®660 is administered with drinking water individually or by group method at the following doses:

• Pigs: 90-100 g per 1000 L of water for 7 days.

• Poultry: 500-1000 g per 1000 L of water for 3-7 days.
