VIC GROUP PARTICIPATED IN THE 7th INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY CONGRESS "ONE WORLD, ONE HEALTH"

From 19 to 21 April, Vic Group participated in the 7th International Congress "One World, One Health", which was held in Ufa. This Forum is the largest event in veterinary industry, this year it was visited by 1200 leading specialists: veterinarians, zootechnicians, employees of research centers, laboratories, directors of farms, as well as scientists, experts, members of national veterinary and livestock, poultry organizations, etc.

The Congress is rightly considered to be a central event in veterinary industry throughout the Eurasian Economic Union. The event was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Rosselkhoznadzor, Government of the Republic of Bashkortostan and State Administration of Veterinary Services of the Republic of Bashkortostan, main state veterinary inspectors of foreign and CIS countries.

The main objective of the Congress is to obtain up-to-date information from leading experts, scientists and specialists working in veterinary industry from Russia, Spain, Denmark, USA, China, Poland, Bulgaria, France, Great Britain, Austria, Moldova, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The global reach of Russian scientists, who spoke at the Congress, is also great. The best experts from Moscow, Vladimir, Ufa, Yakutsk, Voronezh, Novosibirsk, Ryazan, Udmurtia, Crimea and Dagestan presented their developments to the participants. The scientific reports of the speakers were focused on practical application of the knowledge at farms of Russian regions.

In just 3 days of the Congress, more than 100 reports were made. The topics were: dairy and beef husbandry, poultry farming, pig farming, beekeeping, horse breeding, veterinary medicine and drugs, staffing of AIC, anthropozoonosis.

Specialists of VIC Group participated in all major sections. The reports were presented by:

  • E.A. Lusin, Veterinary Consultant on animal husbandry, the report on "Modern means for health control in beef cattle";
  • L.S. Hoshafyan, Leading Veterinary Consultant on poultry farming, report on "Practical solutions for treatment of articular pathology in poultry";
  • M.V. Biryukov, Candidate of Veterinary Medicine, Leading Veterinary Consultant of VIC Group, report on "A systematic approach to prevention of diseases in pigs during the neonatal period".

VIC Group also participated in the exhibition activity of the Congress. A booth was presented, where everybody could get a qualified consultation, ask questions about drugs, sanitation and hygiene products, feed additives and other veterinary products. In three days of the Congress, more than 300 bilateral meetings were held at the company's booth, and many of them reached agreements on cooperation.

Specialists of VIC Group were given the opportunity to learn about the latest developments of veterinary medicine, directly ask questions to experts, discuss their problems with colleagues, it was undoubtedly a matter of great importance for the development of the company. For instance, at the section of dairy and beef husbandry, there were addressed issues of epizootic situation on especially dangerous diseases of cattle, sheep and goats. Participants focused on modern methods of treatment of nodular dermatitis, leukemia, neonatal diseases. Methods for detection of diseases and its prevention occupied a prominent place in the discussion.

At the section of poultry farming, there were addressed such diseases as salmonellosis, pneumovirus infection, infectious anemia, bacterial problems - gastrointestinal disorders, adenovirus infections.

Interesting reports were presented at the meeting of the pig farming section. There were discussed various diseases of pigs, PRRS virus, biological properties of the new Russian isolate of the virus, diagnosis and prevention of respiratory diseases, diseases in the neonatal period, feed conversion. The second day of the work of the section was devoted to the discussion on the most pressing issue that can cause enormous damage to farms, regardless of the geography and country's economy, namely African swine fever virus.

A cultural programme was organized for participants of the International Veterinary Congress. The programme introduced veterinary specialists of 30 regions to the traditions of Bashkirs, to their customs and cuisine.

At the Congress, VIC Group co-sponsored the event, and became one of the "Golden Sponsors", for that the company received commendation from the Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the International Veterinary Congress, Executive Director of the Russian Veterinary Association, S.V. Lakhtyukhov. In response, General Director of VIC Group, A.S. Kaspariants, noted that year after year number of participants increases, the importance of the event attracts the most authoritative experts, and for VIC Group it is a great honor to support such Forum.

Almost all participants of the Congress noted that Ufa is a modern hospitable city, where people honor the traditional values and keep up to date.
