Russian Animal Health Market Leader and a Top Veterinary and Agricultural Academy Sign a Partnership Memorandum of Understanding

VIC Group and Scriabin Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology signed a partnership memorandum of understanding at AGROS 2025 expo on 22 January. The document calls for cooperation in areas of strategic importance:

·       Training of highly skilled specialists in animal husbandry, veterinary medicine and veterinary biotechnology

·       Joint research and development in animal health to create effective new medicines

The event was held as part of the Priority 2030 federal project, which aims to develop over 100 advanced modern universities in Russia. These are to become hubs for the country’s scientific, technical and socio-economic development.

“Thanks to the memorandum, we will be able to do many useful and important things for young specialists and the agricultural sector as a whole. The projects we are preparing are focused on a number of goals. First of all, to improve the required skills of graduates and veterinary specialists of agricultural holding companies and veterinary centres. Second, to raise the profile of professions in the agricultural industry. In a very short time, young people will flock to us because they will be confident that they will reach the heights of their profession,” noted Sergey Kasparyants, Executive Director of VIC Group.

“The staffing question is key for development of the biopharmaceutical industry, and projects such as this will help find a robust solution in due course. It is now obvious that education cannot exist without direct links to industry and research, so it is especially valuable that business is ready to make concessions, help, invest time and resources,” stressed Sergey Pozyabin, Rector of the Veterinary Academy.

The memorandum is a logical continuation of many years of fruitful cooperation. Notably, the Academy was among the first higher educational institutions to launch a veterinary internship programme in 2024. Two young specialists undergoing training under this programme are already working in VIC Group’s poultry division.
