The life of VIC, a Puppy: from a Cute Furball to a Strong Professional

This year VIC Group took charge of a cute puppy named VIC as part of cooperation with the Russian Guide Dog Training School. During 2024, the little thing became a real star, winning the hearts of the company’s staff and exhibition visitors. Its main task, of course, was not just to show how adorable it is, but to train and prepare for an important and noble mission: being a reliable friend and helper for people in need of its support.

This year, VIC showed impressive results and overcame multiple challenges together with its trainer. The dog quickly adapted to car rides, learned to respond calmly to stressful situations and even found common ground with cats!

As part of the training, VIC mastered difficult elements of urban infrastructure, learning to use escalators, cross roads safely and ride commuter trains. These skills are extremely important for its future role, as they will help VIC become an integral part of the life of a visually impaired person.

Now that VIC has grown up, it has passed all the training and testing stages and is ready to move from its trainer to a new instructor. In the coming year, it will face a new stage, full of opportunities and challenges.
