VIC GROUP Helps Train Guide Dogs and Contributes to Preserving the Service Dog Gene Pool
On 27 August, VIC GROUP took part in a press conference dedicated to handover of puppies to the All-Russia Association of the Blind (VOS) Guide Dog Training School. The puppies were born thanks to scientists of the Veterinary Treatment and Diagnostic Centre of Skryabin Moscow Veterinary Academy, who used an innovative embryo vitrification (freezing) technique.
The company took charge of two puppies to guide them on their way to an adult life full of meaningful service: assistance to visually impaired people.
This is the second such project. In 2024, VIC GROUP became patrons of a puppy called VIC. He passed a strict selection process and difficult training, and, this year, he will acquire his charge, becoming a faithful guide and helper for a visually impaired person.
“For us, it is an important social mission and a contribution in support of Russian science. This development by Veterinary Treatment and Diagnostic Centre researchers will help preserve the gene pool of service dogs”, commented Anastasiya Gordetskaya, head of Marketing, VIC GROUP's Small Domestic Animals Division.
