Pharmacological properties

Enrofloxacin has a wide range of antimicrobial and anti-mycoplasmal effects. It suppresses the growth of gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including E.coli, Haemophilus spp., Klebsiella spp., Pasteurella spp., Pseudomonas spp., Bordetella spp., Campylobacter spp., Erysipelothrix spp., Corynebacterium spp., Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Actinobacillus spp., Clostridium spp., Bacteroides spp., Fusobacterium spp., Mycoplasma spp. Mechanism of action: inhibition of the activity of gyrase ferment affecting repilication of DNA helix in the nucleus of the bacterial cell.


• Treatment and prevention of colibacillosis, salmonellosis, mycoplasmosis, bronchopneumonia, enteritis and other diseases in calves, lambs, pigs and poultry caused by fluoroquinolone- sensitive microorganisms.

• Treatment of atrophic rhinitis, enzootic pheumonia and MMA syndrome in pigs.


ENROFLON® POWDER is administered to animals and poultry once a day with feed in the dose of 2.5-5.0 mg of enrofloxacin per 1 kg of bw for 3-5 days. For poultry, ENROFLON® POWDER is administered for treatment and prevention purposes with feed in the quantity of 2 kg of ENROFLON® 5% POWDER (or 1 kg of ENROFLON® 10% POWDER) per 1 ton of feed; for pigs - 1.5 kg of ENROFLON® 5% POWDER (or 0.75 kg of ENROFLON ® 10% POWDER) per 1 ton of feed. In case of salmonellosis or severe form of diseases the dosage is doubled (for poultry - 4 kg of ENROFLON® 5% POWDER or 2 kg of ENROFLON® 10% POWDER per 1 ton of feed; for pigs – 3 kg of ENROFLON® 5% POWDER or 1.5 kg of ENROFLON® 10% POWDER per 1 ton of feed).
