Pharmacological properties

NEOMYCIN SULFATE is an aminoglycoside antibiotic of a widerange of action against many gram-positive and some gram-negative microorganisms including Escherichia spp., Salmonella spp., Shigella spp., Staphylococcus spp., Corinebacterium spp., Listeria spp. and Bacillus anthracis. Protozoa, fungi and the majority of strains of Pseudomonas aeruginosa are neomycin-resistant.


Treatment of gastrointestinal diseases, salmonellosis, colibacillosis, gastroenterocolitis of bacterial etiology in young animals and poultry.


The drug is administered to animals with feed or water (milk) once or twice a day at a dose of 10-20 mg per 1 kg of bw for 3-7 days.
