Rosselkhoznadzor officials visit VIC Group sites in Belgorod

On December 1, the production facility of VIC Group in Belgorod was visited by Nikolay Vlasov, Advisor to the Head of Rosselkhoznadzor, Irina Makarenko, Deputy Head of the Veterinary Safety Department of the State Veterinary Surveillance Directorate at Rosselkhoznadzor, and the management team of Rosselkhoznadzor's Belgorod Region Directorate represented by Tatyana Ausheva and her Deputy Alexander Anisimov.

The delegation saw the modern production process of veterinary drugs at VIC Group, which operates under strict pharmaceutical GMP standards. The plant exports to more than 50 countries around the world and is actively developing. During the tour the high-ranking guests were shown the production process of liquid non-sterile solutions, granules, tablets, powders, told about the continuous quality control throughout the production process, demonstrated the storage arrangement for raw materials and finished products. Rosselkhoznadzor officials also visited the tag production workshop, which was of particular interest due to the recent introduction of mandatory animal identification.

As Nikolay Vlasov said, cases of doubled numbers and other tagging frauds make us pay attention to permanent tags. The dual design of the VIC's tag is securely fixed and prevents it from being removed by an animal or a human. The service life of the tag is 10 years, and laser marking ensures permanent marking of ID number. The capacity of VIC Group's laser equipment is 200 thousand tags per month.

In 2019, VIC Group, as a manufacturer of animal tagging means, entered into a contract with Rosselkhoznadzor to produce 1.5 million unique ID tags. In the future, such state marking will be available only to tag manufacturers, reported officials of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance.
