SEMINAR FOR POULTRY SPECIALIST IN THE URALS

Hoshafyan.JPGOn February 15, technical seminars for veterinarians were held in Verkhnyaya Sysert, Sverdlovsk region. Specialists of VIC Group,Zoetis, Lallemand, Novus, Biochem, BioChek participated in the event.

There were two sections, "Zootechnics" and "Veterinary Medicine". The participants of the "Veterinary Medicine" section discussed pressing issues on treatment and prevention of poultry diseases. Technical specialists of Zoetis, S. Orlov and V. Kluchevsky, gave a lot of useful information on vaccines. Head of the Poultry Division of VIC Group, L. Hoshafyan, described methods for treatment of joint diseases in broiler chickens. This is one of the major problems, because many birds have joint disorders. The participants of the seminar noted the importance of the report on the treatment and prevention of joint disorders.

Sedov.JPGVeterinary Consultant of the Poultry Division of VIC Group, S. Sedov, made a report on infectious synovitis. He presented detailed information of the etiology of Mycoplasma synoviae, its transmission routes, clinical and pathoanatomical changes of infectious synovitis. The special interest was attracted to the PCR and ELISA section, interpretation of the ELISA results. In addition, there was addressed an issue on treatment and prevention of diseases with antibacterial drugs, Klindaspectin, Spelinc 660, Tilmipul, Tiacyclin.

Skripka.JPGThe participants of the "Zootechnics" section examined management techniques to form feed costs and increase productivity of poultry.

I. Belova and I. Skripka gave detailed information on the intestinal health in poultry. One of the tasks of poultry specialists is to increase profitability of products. The "Healthy Intestine" program was developed in order to increase weight gains of broilers, improve feed conversion rate and reduce susceptibility of poultry to various infectious diseases. Of course, this technology aroused great interest among poultry specialists.

Colleagues of VIC Group offered their options for addressing the pressing problems. N. Sadovnikova, General Director of Lallemand animal Nutrition, Russia, spoke of anti-stress prevention in poultry industry. After the reports were presented, the participants could receive detailed answers to all questions.
