TECHNICAL SEMINARS IN KALININGRAD REGION

On 17-18 April, specialists of VIC Group held technical seminars for zootechnicians and veterinarians of two leading dairy enterprises of Kaliningrad region.

The seminars for 12 employees of "Zalesskoe moloko" was held on 17 April, for 19 specialists of "Molochnaya fabrika" - on 18 April. The seminars were held upon the request of leading specialists of the dairy enterprises. In February 2018, N. Demidova, Livestock Technician of VIC Group, audited a feeding technology at the dairy farms and found out that the specialists had many questions on vaccination, treatment of coccidiosis and many others. Zootechnicians and veterinarians got all the answers during the seminars.

N. Demidova made a report on "Physiology of ruminal digestion. Prevention of ketosis and acidosis" and "Prevention of mycotoxins in dairy cattle". The specialists of the dairy farms learned about the impact of mycotoxins, how to detect mycotoxins on the results of visual assessment, and how to handle the problem using VIC GROUP products. The issues on probiotics and sorbents for highly productive cattle were addressed. E. Lusin, Livestock Consultant, spoke of the integrated program to control parasites with Santomectin, Ivertin, Mizofen-F and Deltanil.

E. Lusin made a report on the effective treatment of respiratory diseases in calves. He said the most effective drugs to treat and prevent diseases in calves were Sulteprim, Oxylong 20% retard, Pulmokit, Zitrex, Floricol, Toltrax 5% and Doxiprem.

The report on "The integrated approach to the treatment and prevention of postpartum complications" highlighted common causes of postpartum complications in cattle and the most effective schemes of treatment and prevention of endometritis with Prosolvin, Tiocefur, Enroflon foaming tablets. S. Kuznetsov, Leading Specialist of Hygiene and Sanitation Division spoke of modern methods of sanitation of cattle hooves and hygiene standards to prevent mastitis. At the seminars, the specialists of the dairy farms could make sure that VIC Group products increases the economic efficiency of the enterprise. The technical seminars led to greater cooperation between VIC Group and the dairy enterprises of Kaliningrad region.
