THE CONFERENCE ON POULTRY FARMING IN OMSK

The Veterinary Conference on "Contemporary challenges and scientific support for innovative development in poultry industry" was held in Omsk State Agrarian University named after P.A. Stolypin on 28 March.

The Conference was organized by VIC Group and Omsk State Agrarian University. The event was supported by the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region.

The Conference was attended by the main specialists of the large poultry farms of the Omsk region, who have been successfully cooperating with VIC Group.

The Regional Manager of the Siberian region of VIC Group, Oleg Kovalev, and Vice-Rector of the University, Vitaly Aleshchenko, opened the Conference. The film about VIC Group was presented after the welcoming speech and was highly appreciated by the participants.

Alexander Kurzanov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food of the Omsk region, made a report on the state of the poultry industry in the Omsk region. The reports presented by Tatiana Popova, consultant of VIC Group, on necrosis of the femoral head, on effective treatment of ornithobacteriosis and mycoplasmosis in poultry attracted the attention of the manufacturers.

The leading specialist of VETPRIBOR, Alexander Smirnov, made a presentation on modern veterinary equipment for poultry. The leading specialist of Hygiene and Sanitation Division, Denis Sinitsyn, highlighted the major issues on biosecurity at poultry enterprises.

University lecturers and specialists of Zoetis, Novus and Biochek also made scientific reports. At the end of the Conference, there was held a question and answer session.
