VIC GROUP PARTICIPATED IN THE WEBINAR AT BELGOROD STATE AGRICULTURAL UNIVERSITY NAMED AFTER V. GORIN

On 16 February 2016, the webinar was held on the basis of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education "Belgorod State Agricultural University" with support of the Department of Economic Development of Belgorod region and VIC Group. The topic of the webinar was "Diagnostic methods, treatment and prevention of hoof diseases in cattle".

The main objective of the webinar was exchanges of experience and developments, description of advanced technology in diagnostics, treatment and prevention of diseases.

Veterinarians and specialists of kolkhoz named after V. Y. Gorin, OOO "Butovo Agro", OOO "Mikhailovskoe", OOO "Kustovoe", OOO "Molochnik", OOO "Orlik", OOO "Sovetskoe", etc. participated in the webinar.

Moreover, the participants of the webinar were professors, postgraduates, students of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Belgorod State Agricultural University and representatives of Oryol, Bryansk State Agricultural University, Vyatka, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Kursk State Agricultural Academy.

The webinar consisted of two stages: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part was opened by a statement by the Rector of the University, Professor A.V. Turiansky, Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, V.V. Dronov and Representative of the Commercial Department of NPF VIC, A. V. Kosukhin.

A Livestock Specialist of "Trading House-VIC", E.A. Belkin, made a report on "Veterinary health control of cattle hooves"; Leading Specialist of the Hygiene Department, D.D. Sinitsyn made a presentation on care of hooves. The reports included the following veterinary drugs for treatment and prevention of hoof diseases in cattle:

• Oxylong® 20% Retard (antibacterial drug of the tetracycline group);
• Flexoprofen® (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug);
• Tiocefur® (cephalosporin antibiotic);
• Aerofar Spray (drug of the tetracycline group, intended for external use, as part of complex therapy in the treatment of diseases of limbs);
• Dermadez (highly concentrated agent for hoof rehabilitation).

The second part of the webinar included a master class on orthopedic hoof cleaning. The Specialist of VIC Group, E. A. Belkin, demonstrated the main methods for hoof cleaning using instruments of HAUPTNER production, he also noted advantages and disadvantages of each technique. At the end, the participants received answers to their questions. Everybody noted great benefit and performance of the webinar.
