WELCOME TO THE 8TH INTERNATIONAL VETERINARY CONGRESS

The 8th International Veterinary Congress will be held in the House of the Unions from 23 to 25 April 2018. This year this event will be truly historic. For the first time in the recent history of Russia two key events of the industry will be held in one place, the Congress and the All-Russian Congress of Veterinarians, which met for the last time in 1914, will be together at one site.

Delegates of the Congress will discuss the common concept for the development of the veterinary industry in Russia, the level of professional training of veterinarians, pressing issues of the State Veterinary Service, private practices. Particular attention will be paid to biosafety of the veterinary support, to the production of veterinary drugs.

The event is organized by the Russian Veterinary Association, with active support of the Government of the Russian Federation, state and administrative structures of the agro-industrial complex, the World Organization for Animal Health and the main state veterinary inspectors of Russia, foreign countries and CIS countries.

Evgeny Nepoklonov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, is the supervisor of the forthcoming International Congress. The key speakers will be representatives of the Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin, representatives of the State Veterinary Service of Denmark, representatives of the Veterinary Agency of the United Kingdom, experts from the United States Department of Agriculture, representatives of research institutes from America, Austria, Germany, Spain and other countries. Reports prepared by leading experts of the world and Russia will present modern tendencies in veterinary medicine, latest technologies.

Participants of the Congress will be able to ask questions to representatives of the legislative and supervisory veterinary authorities of the country, get the latest information and take part in discussions with leading experts in the field of veterinary medicine, feeding, sanitation and biosafety of products of animal origin.

The Congress will include:

• conferences on topical veterinary problems with risk assessment and management;
• round tables and seminars on problems of circulation of veterinary drugs in Russia and the EAEU, foot-and-mouth disease, zooantroponoze diseases and others;
• exhibition of veterinary drugs, feed, feed additives, veterinary equipment, specialized literature.
